Important Medical and Alcohol-Withdrawal Information

Imagine Laserworks does not diagnose or treat alcohol use disorder. Our Alcohol Wellness Support Program is not detoxification, medical treatment, psychotherapy or emergency care.

Suddenly reducing or stopping alcohol after frequent or heavy drinking can cause serious withdrawal symptoms. In some cases, alcohol withdrawal can require medical care and may become life-threatening.

Speak with a qualified healthcare professional before substantially reducing or stopping alcohol if you:

• drink heavily or regularly;
• have experienced withdrawal symptoms before;
• experience shaking, sweating, nausea, confusion or severe anxiety when you stop drinking;
• have previously experienced a withdrawal seizure; or
• are uncertain whether stopping suddenly is safe.

Seek urgent medical help for seizures, hallucinations, severe confusion, chest pain, breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness or other serious symptoms. Call 9-1-1 in an emergency.

Imagine Laserworks wellness sessions are intended to complement—not replace—appropriate medical care, counselling, peer support or a professionally supervised recovery program.

Do not stop taking prescribed medication or change your medical care based on an Imagine Laserworks session. Speak with your healthcare provider about medical questions or changes to your treatment plan.

No. Imagine Laserworks does not provide detoxification or medical withdrawal management. People who may be physically dependent on alcohol should speak with a qualified healthcare professional before suddenly reducing or stopping alcohol.

Does this replace medical care, counselling or addiction treatment?

No. This is a complementary wellness service and is not a replacement for medical care, counselling, addiction treatment or emergency services.
