Amphetamines
Amphetamines are psychologically addictive because people become dependant on
taking more to avoid feeling the down of withdrawal (got to keep that rush going
or you’ll crash and burn!). If you suddenly stop using the drug, you end
up feeling tired, sleepy, irritable, and depressed. The severity and length
of time that you experience these effects vary depending on the degree of abuse.
What do amphetamines, tobacco (nicotine), diet pills, laxatives, steroids and
diuretics all have in common? Answer: girls. Yes! They’re all used by
adolescent girls who are trying to stay thin.
